Overview

Mathematics Content:

Know number names and the count sequence.

Understand place value

 

Estimated Time: 1 class period

 

During this lesson students will investigate the digits 0-9 by solving a problem in which they need to represent numbers 0-20 and determine how many of each digit will be needed to make these numbers. Students will work with a partner to show a strategy and their thinking for creating all the numbers. At the end of their work time students will share strategies.
